You will work with OpenEnvoy’s biggest customers as they use the platform to move billions of dollars a month. Working with engineering and customer-facing teams across the company, you will ensure that Payables customers are successful.

We’re looking for someone who can work with customers who have complex payables workflows to understand their business needs and translate them into product and engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

As a Product Manager ensuring the success of our Payables Product, your responsibilities will include:

  • Payables Product Design: You will collaborate with customers to understand their requirements for bank integrations, data structures, and APIs. You will shape our product to meet customers' money movement needs effectively. Working alongside engineering, you will design clean, developer-friendly APIs that enable customers to seamlessly embed payments into their platforms.
  • Payables Innovation: You will lead our payments capabilities by tracking industry trends and identifying how new payment rails like FedNow or Global Payments can benefit our customers. You will ensure smooth implementation of these capabilities while effectively managing edge cases like returns and payment failures.
  • Metrics and feature improvements: You'll establish key metrics to validate that we're developing the most valuable features for our payments customers. You'll analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to spot gaps in functionality and efficiently solve customer pain points.

Requirements

  • Payables expertise: You have deep knowledge of banking systems and integrations. You thoroughly understand bank operations and their data models, including BAI2 and ISO formats.
  • Technical: You thrive on collaborating with engineers to understand payment system intricacies and optimize customer applications. You have proven experience leveraging application data to improve the platform's transaction and payment pattern recognition.
  • Partnership: You thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, collaborating with both internal stakeholders across multiple teams and external partners such as banks.
  • Empathy for technical and non-technical users: You can understand and address both the technical requirements of our mission-critical customers and the practical needs of treasury and payment operations teams. You'll work with sales and customer success to develop targeted strategies that demonstrate OpenEnvoy's value compared to alternative solutions or in-house payment operations.
  • Product Management Experience: You have proven experience as a product manager working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
